This chapter describes the 'whole evidence' analysis of Chinese medicine therapies in the management of post-herpetic neuralgia. Evidence from clinical studies are summarised and reviewed against the recommendations from contemporary texts and guidelines in Chapter 11. Few interventions recommended in contemporary literature have evidence to support their use in clinical practice. In light of these findings, directions for further research are suggested.
