In Chinese medicine, allergic rhinitis is mainly considered a result of a combination of Zang-organ deficiency (Lung, Spleen, and Kidney) and external pathogen attack. This chapter describes the aetiology and pathogenesis, syndrome differentiation, and treatments recommended in clinical textbooks and guidelines.
