摘要：

This paper presents the theoretic and practical aspects of eye acupuncture based on the theories of "diagnosing diseases by observing the eye" described in classical Chinese medical treatises. Eye acupuncture is a newly developed acupuncture method for general diseases in which filiform needles are inserted into corresponding eye acupuncture points distributed around the eye orbit. The effectiveness rate in this study of the method in 28 separate conditions among 172 cases seen at a hospital clinic was 83.14 %. Three case studies are included.
