Two new compounds, (E)-4-(3, 4-dihydroxyphenyl)-N-(1-hydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl) ethyl)-2-oxobut-3-enamide (1) and phloretin2-O-beta-D-apiofuranosyl (1 -> 6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside (2) were isolated from Lithocarpus polystachyus Rehd. Their structures were determined on the basis of analysis of their 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic and mass spectral data.
