Objective: to explore the role and significance of the intelligent technology based on Case-based reasoning in learning and inheriting of the Famous TCM Practitioner's Experience to prevent and treatment infectious diseases. Methods: combined with the concept, characteristics and processes of Case-Based Reasoning and the clinical thinking and practice modes of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), to start the discussion on the feasibility of applying the case-based reasoning in the inheriting and learning of Famous TCM Practitioner's experience to prevent and treatment infectious diseases, and to illustrate the application process from a theoretical point of view. Results: the application based on Case-based reasoning in inheriting and learning of Famous TCM Practitioners' experience to prevent and treatment infectious diseases is feasibility and necessity. Conclusion: the effective use of Case-Based Reasoning and other modern intelligent technologies is helpful in learning the clinical experience of famous TCM practitioners and inheriting their academic thinking.
