摘要:
This chapter introduces the immune-related transcription factors in amphioxus, including NFκB, IRFs, and STATs. It starts by introducing the architecture, evolution, and transcriptional mechanism of two amphioxus NFκB family members. It then introduces the phylogeny and transcriptional activities of nine amphioxus IRFs, which shed light on the evolution of IFN-based antiviral mechanisms. By the end of the chapter the JAK. JAK-STAT pathway among species and introduction of the amphioxus STAT family are compared. The composition of transcriptional factors in amphioxus remains in a simple form compared with the great expansion in pattern recognition receptors and their adaptors, suggesting a tight regulation of amphioxus innate immune signaling at the transcriptional level. © 2016 China Science Publishing & Media Ltd.
