摘要:
Breast cancer is a malignant epithelial tumor of ductal or lobular origin. Breast cancer remains the most frequently diagnosed invasive cancer in women and is the leading cause of cancer-associated mortality worldwide. Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), a phenotypic process of conversion from epithelial to mesenchymal cells, allows tumor cells to acquire infiltration and metastasization properties. Therapies directed at pathways, which are primarily involved in malignant transformation, can lead to clinical implications. In recent years, EMT has gained increasing attention as a potential therapeutic target in cancer therapy. Moreover, for the past few decades, increasing numbers of studies have suggested that Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) compounds can significantly inhibit the growth and development of breast cancer cells through the inhibition of EMT in breast cancer cells. This review discusses some essential signaling pathways associated with EMT and summarizes the effects and mechanism of TCM components on that inhibit EMT in breast cancer therapy.Copyright © 2021.
